ABOUT US
Happy Landings is first and foremost an animal shelter. We have a council licensed boarding facility for dogs and cats which helps to pay for the welfare work. The boarding section is very much in demand and spaces book very early. In 2005 we started assisting Greyhound Rescue-West of England in holding some of their greyhounds for them.

We no longer board rabbits, guinea pigs etc.
The charity owns the 5 acre site, and is a mixed animal shelter, taking in all types of animals. We are unable to take exotics. The centre can take approximately 300 animals, and re-homing numbers were a little over 500 in 2004. The team of staff and volunteers offer shelter and hope.

Happy Landings works with Dog wardens, Vets, Police, Social Services and other shelters. We are full at all times and have to work on a waiting list system with the demand for rescue spaces being very high.

Many animals have to be nursed back to health and more have to be re-habilitated before carefully chosen, loving homes are found. It is rare that a rescue animal has to be returned to us, so good is the match-making.
