Unlike other boarding kennels and catteries, all the income from the boarding section of Happy Landings goes towards paying for the animal rescue work done at the centre. It is our main source of funding, so you're not only boarding your animal, but helping contribute to rescue and care for other animals more unfortunate than your own.
Our staff, who deal with all sorts of rescue animals, have lots of experience and this shows when it c. Your dog or cat is our customer and is vitally important that all our animals are as happy as can be whilst they are with us.
For the dogs, we have heated kennels, toys, treats and large runs and they also have the use of our 1.5 acre exercise paddock during their stay to run off excess energy and to play. We try to keep as close to their normal routine as kennels will allow.
The cats have the use of our new cattery which is warm and cosy, double glazed to keep out any noise of the dogs (although we have had requests for the cat and dog to be boarded together before now)!
Regular boarders would tell you if they could, that its a second home and if they have to be kenneled then this is the place to be. Some of our boarders travel from as far away as Kent to bring their animals to us for boarding.
View from Cattery Happy Landings is surrounded by the peaceful Somerset countryside, where dogs can go on fun walks. Your animal gets a nice peaceful holiday as well as you !, in beautiful surroundings right in the heart of the country |
